The article d~scusses tendency of lwsing the knowledge of mother tongue among Newa children. It is based on a test conducted with two Neaar children recently visted to Ule USA.

This article discusses and summarises the problems of such approaches especially with regard to the ‘morphology’, ‘syntax’, ‘pragmatics’, and ‘semantics’ of rituals or elements of Newar life-cycle rituals.
